Great service and food! Had the Grilled Octopus and Seafood Rice which were both flavorful and hearty. Good portions, and had a tomato salad as an appetizer and wine (Vinho Verde) as well. Grilled Octopus was my favorite. It was tender, garlicky, and well done! Veggies still had a good bite to them. Overall, the experience was great and would highly recommend. We thought the value for a full meal with apps and wine was great. Came out to about 64 euros for 2.

We had an excellent meal here and especially loved the seafood rice and octopus. (Polvo) Unlike some tourist-oriented restaurants that rely on street solicitation, this restaurant provides attentive and authentic service. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary glass of traditional Portuguese ginja liqour, which added to the overall experience. I had higher expectations for this restaurant based on the reviews. The service was warm and welcoming, and the sardines were nice. Unfortunately, the cod was a real letdown. It tasted as though it had been reheated. It was overcooked, and the outer parts which looked like they would be crispy were actually quite chewy. Overall, the experience was mixed. Perhaps we just visited on an "off" day, but it just didn't quite live up to our expectations.
