We were looking for a restaurant near Praça Marquês de Pombal in Lisbon when Bistrô4 caught our attention. We were pleasantly surprised by the dinner we had there. In addition to the food options they offer as well a wide selection of drinks and wines. The place was thoughtfully decorated and the staff was really pleasant. We found the overall cost of our dinner reasonable and if we’re back in the area on a future trip we will certainly visit this place again

I really wanted to love this place, especially given the consistently strong reviews, but my experience was very different. First, I have to say the service was excellent. The staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely tried to make things right when I mentioned my concerns. I actually felt bad saying anything at all because they were so gracious about it. On our late afternoon arrival at the Portobay Liberdade hotel for the 2nd half of our holiday in Portugal, we thought it simplest to just have dinner in the hotel restaurant, the Bistro4, and go looking for veggie/vegan catering restaurants later on. We weren't expecting anything particularly special. But wow had we spectacularly underestimated the Bistro4!
