This place is delightfully unpretentious—a hidden gem I wouldn’t have discovered if not for my colleague. The space is cozy, featuring a 10-seater communal table (though they can snugly fit up to 12) and a few small tables outside. Reservations are highly recommended if you’re planning a visit! The menu changes weekly, keeping things fresh and exciting. This week, they’re offering braised beef meatballs or chicken meatballs, paired with either salad or rice. For $15 nett, you get a complete set: soup of the day, your choice of main, and a drink (water or cranberry juice). Today’s soup was white carrot with fish sauce, served piping hot—comforting, though a tad on the salty side. I went for the braised beef meatballs with salad. The chef mentioned the salad vegetables vary daily based on availability, which adds a nice touch of surprise. While the portion size was on the smaller side, it was well-balanced. My colleague opted for the braised beef with rice, and the presentation was a

Hands down one of the best Omakase experiences I every had! Tried their lunch menu. Their sashimi and seafood are so so so fresh. Oysters were huge (almost palm sized) and didn’t have the fishy taste at all!!!! Special mention to their wagyu bowl — super umami and flavourful, with a perfectly gooey egg in the centre. Heard they are gonna change up their restaurant concept so it’s only available for the next month or so!

I have been to a number of Japanese omakase in Singapore but The Raw Nama stands out. I feel that omakase is always not just about the food and service, that is a given. But the interaction between the chef and the guests makes all the difference. Chef Roy's knowledge about Japanese ingredients is amazing, needless to say the result is spectacular. Also I love it that this is a 'By Invite' only omakase so I am able to bring my guests there and have a private experience without too much commotion. The price is affordable for the quality and service for sure. Their sake selection includes many labels directly imported from Japan. Hence you won't be able to find them in the open market.

It's good memories at the raw nama, managed to booked for dinner (slots are limited during dinner time as he only serves 8-10 people at the time). His omakase selection (8-10 course depending on the quantity of each dish and selection ) is beautifully crafted and surprises in every dish. He also told me that which fish was better with which season, and also he sources his own ingredients directly from the land of the rising sun itself. Do call for a reservations, I love how the chef keeps his seats minimal so that he can entertain every guest with focus. I assure you it will be worth it. EDIT: Went back for lunch (easier to get a lunch reservation) got a don and a tuna truffle urchin salmon roe don. The price is surprisingly on par if not cheaper than what you get at a fine dining restaurant.

This my second time (pre and post restaurant renovation) and I have to say this spot is the best Omakase meal I’ve ever had. Chef Roy guided us through his amazing menu, which created an overall 5* experience. He selects the ingredients from Japan daily and you can taste the freshness and quality. Highly recommend for Omakase lovers.
