I’ve been coming to Common Man Coffee Roasters since 2017 (whenever I’m in Singapore), which feels like a lifetime in café years. What I appreciate most is that the coffee is still consistently solid, the food is as good as I remember, and the place still has that easygoing charm that makes you want to hang around a bit longer than planned. So many places change, chase trends. Common Man has just quietly kept its quality over the years. Always a good meal, always a good coffee and somehow it still feels like coming back to a familiar spot. ☕

One of us had mushrooms and avocado on toast which was so good and I had the French toast and it was so amazingly good. We were provided a bag to take our leftovers.

Wildly popular expat and digital nomad destination around river valley. Also popular for Singaporean ATAS families. Coffee and juice were alright. Place seems very commercial and put together. One step up from the versions they supply to corporate clients. Personally felt that the filter coffee wasn't as good as I'd hoped. For starters, they supplied it in that instagrammable flask and cup pictured below. As far as I can tell, there's no way to pour the coffee out without spilling a good proportion of it, around 10-15% out onto the table. Granted I'm not an expert in tableware. Perhaps it were merely an off batch of beans. Chance befalls us all, sure. The juice came in a woefully tiny container. Sure, I get it, prices are high, Iran etc. but come on, it was barely larger than a yakult bottle. Not even vitagen!! Going the commercial route is fine. And maybe quality suffered because it was crowded. Chye sent huat is a good example of keeping it up. Anyway, perhaps I'm too harsh. The

Common Man is easily my go-to spot. I’ve shared so many memories here, whether it’s for work, meeting business partners, or even first dates. The vibe just works for everything. My favorites are definitely the açai bowl and the burger, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with the drinks—the homemade ice tea is a must-try. Genuinely my usual spot for a reason.
