The place is nice but the food was not fresh. The rabo de toro was hard and the sauce acid. I made it notice to the waiter but…he dis not care a lot :) Edit: I lived 7 years in Andalucia :) It was a monday, it is ok if you had no fresh food. And your comment shows you have no attention to the constructive feedback of your customers. Un saludo

We had dinner at Taberna XCajones on our first evening in Madrid, as the restaurant was located in the neighborhood where we were staying. We arrived at a very "French" hour, which perhaps explains the restaurant's quiet atmosphere when we arrived. This made us hesitate a bit at first… but we would have been very wrong to pass it up. The dishes were excellent and full of flavor, with a modern and very indulgent take on Spanish classics.
