We had a wonderful lunch at Puerta Real in Burgos. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is bright, clean, and very welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We ordered the roasted suckling lamb and the grilled turbot with ratatouille. The lamb was incredibly tender and absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The turbot was beautifully grilled to a crisp on the outside while remaining moist and full of flavour inside. The food is ok, we enjoyed the solomillo, morcilla and the torrija, but the service could be better. My dish, the riñoncitos, was overly salty and I did not eat it, the waitress definitely noticed but made a choice not to ask about why I left my plate. All in all more attention could be paid to customers. The location is difficult to beat and explains the high prices.
