We first visited La Bellotta Extremena in January 2025, looking for dessert after a slightly average meal elsewhere. We had tarta del queso, a dessert wine, and fell in love with the place. We were back 2 days later to try the full dinner experience and were treated to a host of delicious dishes - combinations of flavours which make perfect sense when you try them. One year on and we have just returned - we were not disappointed. A 5-course tapas lunch was accompanied by a superior bottle of Ribera del Duero (ask the proprietor for wine recommendations). Went here our last night on this island and got our best dinner yet! Super nice staff, and amazing traditional, yet experimental, food and Canarian wine. Especially recommend the smoked cheese and various canned fish. So tasty! Come here if you’d like to dine like the locals and experience the real deal. ;) I would definitely come here again if I ever visit Las Palmas again.

It would have been a good spanish experience but... on entry the lady told us specials off the menu which included artichoke. I asked for potatas bravas without mayonnaise to make it vegan and told it wasn't possible and we had to have chips. Our friend had potatas bravas and they could have easily met the request. They tried to charge €18 for 3 artichokes. This price normally includes ham. The lady initially refused to reduce it and then asked the gentleman who reduced it by 1.5x making it €12 for 3 artichokes stating that the price for the ham had been removed.
