Joanne Yeow★★★★★Quaint little cafe along the river, serving one of the best coffee I have had in Madrid. Coming from an Aussie who loves her coffee, Pava’s latte was smooth, velvety and rich. Just a perfect cuppa to start the day with. We ordered their breakfast plate and every thing was spot on. Would have loved to try their pear on toast but we were too full.
M H★★★★★Specialty coffee shop close to the river. It's the first in Usera (I think) and run by Argentinians. The food is very good, above all the ricotta toast with pear and honey. They serve coffee from Ineffable, a specialty roaster in Sevilla. The espresso is a standard Brazilian with chocolate and almond flavors. I tried the batch brew, a very enjoyable Ethiopian with a sweet and slightly floral profile. The place tends to be packed on the weekends, especially when it's nice out. It's probably easiest to get a table around lunch time.
