Love El Nacional, an upscale market with good offerings to sample the best of Spanish cuisine. I particularly like the Oyster Bar at the end of the market. I tried a sampler platter with the typical French and British oysters, but also Spanish and Mediterranean ones. A good surprise. The seafood Gilda was a perfected starter, then trout caviar with a soft brioche and tasty butter. Of course paired with delicious, dry Spanish wines (Verdejo and another one I forgot). The food is amazing, especially at the Food section. It was so good that we went twice. Excellent explanations and high care of my wife who is on gluten-free diet and allergic to céleri and nuts. Despite, they cannot avoid cross contamination, they did all to avoid it. Service is very pleasant and friendly for kids. They took extra care despite it was quite busy to explain my 10 years old the various fishes, even showing the fishes which were available on the ice. The place was formerly a parking with garage. Great service and atmosphere. We went to the seafood restaurant and were pleased with the experience. That said, their seafood isn’t as fresh as two other restaurants we tried. Still recommended for the service and location, but don’t expect the best seafood. Oh, and definitely make a reservation 4-5 days in advance.
