We were looking for a nice relaxed bite to nibble at and this place popped up as a well suggested option so we walked up from the port after a morning at the markets. And what a great suggestion! We were warmly greeted by the staff and shown through to the terrace at the back which was situated in a quiet square and was lovely out of the direct sun. This is a very interesting and cozy place — we came here to try the empanadas. Only three types were available, and all of them were delicious. The café is small: there are seats inside and a little patio outside, and they even have heaters if it’s cold. It’s a wonderful place to sit and relax. The service was friendly and welcoming.

I really wanted to love this place and had high expectations, but overall the experience was just average. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. The service was excellent, very kind and attentive staff. One suggestion for the owners: when clearing unused plates from the table, it would be better not to place them back on the stack of clean plates. We fancied a place for tapas and nothing else was open around us, luckily we discovered this absolute gem! Delicious, quality selection of tradition Spanish food cooked fresh that day.
