The restaurant is in a fantastic location, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. We ordered ham croquetas, prawns, foie gras, Russian salad, and crispy chicken for the kids. The croquetas were particularly disappointing. They were almost entirely béchamel, with barely any trace of ham or prawns. They tasted more like they had been lightly flavored rather than properly prepared, and the overall taste was noticeably acidic. The Russian salad was also below standard. The floor staff were actually pleasant and did what they could, so credit where it’s due. The real issue was clearly behind the scenes. For a busy night, it was astonishing to watch a restaurant practically volunteer to lose money simply because tables couldn’t be turned fast enough. With three chefs in the kitchen, you’d imagine some level of momentum. Instead, every order seemed to hit an invisible traffic jam.
