Would rate this beautiful cafe 10 stars if I could. The staff are so friendly and happy, not to mention the delicious food. You can sit outside or they have a cute upstairs nook which is perfect for a quiet place to study/work or chat. Have been here two days in a row whilst on holidays in Barcelona and will definitely be back before I leave!

We ended up at this cafe as the place we aimed to go for was closed on a Sunday, so we didn’t have any expectations going in - we just went with a random place around the corner that was open, which happened to be Novela. It was truly the best cafe in Barcelona we’ve been to. The food was excellent, the coffee and the smoothies were great and the staff were so lovely and truly seemed like they enjoyed working there. We will absolutely be back.

we tried the eggs benedict with salmon, eggs benedict avocado (which came with guacamole and avocado) and added bacon. the portion is exactly what you pay for and is so delicious, highly recommend. we also had a bloody mary and a moscow mule. decently sized for 8.50 per cocktail. the atmosphere is cute with books, mezzanine seating, a game machine with pacman and street fighter, AND they have private free wifi.
