James Locklin★★★★★I enjoyed eating here 4 times while in Girona for 4 days, everything was outstanding. There were some real standout: the callos (tripe), mopped up as much as the accompanying bread would allow. Even if you don't normally eat tripe, I feel this would win you over. The papas bravas are a perfect tapa if you like spicy; the aioli had noticeble kick. The pear in red wine and Catalan cream were exceptional desserts.

The arroz negro was excellent too, rich and smoky with plenty of seafood. Very reasonably priced. I thought service was slow, but very friendly and the food was well worth waiting for. You could combine lunch here with a visit to the wonderful El Corte Ingles department store, just a few minutes walk away.

The food was good, but it was especially the service that made the difference. It was quite busy and we had to wait a bit longer, but it didn’t matter because the food was still good.
