We stumbled upon the Lorca market by chance. We'd parked there, and as we walked in, I stopped in front of a green space where they offered solutions for body and soul. Right there, Juan Francisco served us some beers and excellent wines from Jumilla, while preparing some expertly crafted remedies for what we ordered. The service was, as the name suggests, friendly and informal. Many thanks to Juan Francisco and his wife, Quiteria, who arrived later, for their kindness. A bit cramped, very small in terms of space and shops. I have to admit that what little there is looks very good, but perhaps because I'm used to the ones I have in Murcia, the Lorca Market seems very small to me; in fact, I think it's smaller than the old one. I've known three markets (that I can remember), two on Del Álamo Street and another on San Francisco Street, all of them considerably larger than the current one.

I'm not from Murcia. I was in Lorca for a weekend and decided to stock up on some good produce from the Murcian countryside. Someone recommended this place, and since returning to Madrid, we've been enjoying the true flavors of the countryside with tomatoes, peppers, onions, potatoes, etc., as if they were just picked. These are the little things that make life more enjoyable. Whenever I go back to Lorca, I'll always stop by the market to stock up (redundancy intended) on good Murcian produce.
