Confiteria is a great little bakery just off the town's central park. They had a large range of cakes and pastries, with very reasonable prices. Everything we bought was fresh and very tasty.

Don't recommend this place, horrible experience. They have terrible serve and are impolite. I have been many times to this café, with friends, family etc. Recently I went there and as usual never got the recipe/ticket after payment. They are unfriendly to tourists and people with other nationality, but still want to have them as clients/customers. They discuss them Infront of everyone, accusing many as thiefs. Which is very serious. The only reason I went there is because they have an employee that is very Nice. That's it, don't recommend and won't return. If you come to Orihuela, there are

Ordered 2 slices of old, stale, dry pizza, espresso and a coffee, small sparkling water and a small pastry and paid €18!! For what?? The food was old and tasted like sand, quality was really bad, please avoid this place! This definitely did not cost 18 eur, she ripped us off!
