We arrived in Palencia a little late for lunch; the first bar we went in was not serving food at lunchtime, however a woman in the bar told us about Cervecería Boulevard, a short drive away. The tables inside and out were full, but they found room for us at the bar, and we found it as the woman had described it: good quality and good value. The friendly staff gave us free chocolate ice creams

We're not from Palencia, and it's been really hard to find a place to have a coffee on a Sunday before 10:00; everything was closed except this bar. Free toast with the coffee, friendly service, reasonable prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. It might not always be like this, but today was a 10 out of 10 for us.

After spending a few days in Palencia, I discovered this brewery, which opens at 7:00 AM. I was served by Esther, a very attentive, thoughtful, and pleasant woman; it's a pleasure to be welcomed so early. Breakfast costs €1.40, but it's fantastic. As you can see in the photo, I had coffee with milk, toast with butter (and jam if you like), and a small glass of juice—it was great. They have a wide selection of good quality food. Parking is easy in the morning, but a bit more difficult in the afternoon, as I noticed. If you're in Palencia, don't hesitate to stop by and check them out. Thank you
