He spoke a little English and we managed to have a lovely conversation about old school Boston Celtics. He was kind and hospitable. Also great Potatoes Bravas and fabulous Vermouth. They were happy to see a pilgrim and took my picture; everything was a good price and the food was great. During my stay tons of locals showed up so I knew I was in a good place! Not sure that I'd ever have a reason to go back to Ponferrada, but if I do I'll be stopping here at every opportunity.
