Gaio is a hidden treasure. It’s a small restaurant which seats about 50-60. It has a bar seating overlooking the kitchen. You can watch the Chefs and cooks prepare the food. I showed up in a Friday night as soon as they open without a reservation. At first he told me they were completely booked, but then he said if we could be gone in an hour and a half they would need us so we agreed. This is our second visit and Gaio lives up to its reputation once again. We just let the staff choose what to bring and went with it. There was plenty of seafood as you’d expect in Galicia and Peru but also some fantastic meat dishes too. The desserts were also 10/10. We’ll be back soon.

Sensibly followed Google reviews and walked in here, thankfully they had room at the bar with a view of the kitchen. We allowed them to select the dishes as we’re not familiar with local cuisine. Food overall was fabulous, mainly fish, great and helpful service, highly recommended. Little chicken was on dry side, cooked a tad too long, but everything else was great.
