This review should have been about the wonderful meal we enjoyed, instead it is about this... they charged us 2€ per person for bread service which they give automatically. This is occurring in many restaurants now, and was not surprising. But without asking they served us two dipping bowls of olive oil with the bread, and then charged us another 3.50€ for that. That cost them a star on this review, and we tried another restaurant later in the week rather than return.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it turned out to be the most enjoyable lunch of our holiday. La Tierra is perched high on the steps up toward Calle San Miguel in Torremolinos with fantastic views over the coast. Inside the restaurant is nicely decorated and has comfortable seating. We ordered baked Norwegian salmon and American style ribs in BBQ sauce. Both dishes were nicely presented served piping hot and were very good. For dessert we chose a baked mixed berry cheesecake and a lemon dessert that was set a lite at the table with rum, again both were very good. The service was
