What a gem! We dined there after stumbling across it on a walk. Beautifully decorated inside but with the nice weather and break in temperatures we elected to eat outside. It was a relaxing two hours. We shared a cheese fondue and then shared the Wiener schnitzel. Food was fantastic as was the service. Hands down the best meal we have had while visiting the city. Highly recommend!

We were supposed to have eaten elsewhere, but when we checked into the other place (not saying names here), we decided against it. So, we wandered through Lucerne and stumbled upon the Alpchalet restaurant. It was a Sunday evening, so quiet. The restaurant is charming, and so "Swiss" absolutely lovely people working there. The cheese fondue was amazing, I had weinerschnitzel that was incredible, as was the homemade salad dressing and fresh rye bread. We finalized our dinner with a shot of limoncello with our host! Bravo, this place is awesome!! Yum!

Limited menu available. Cheese fondue was not bad, not sure what cheese they used as it had some wine after taste.. The fresh ravioli with mushroom was tasty as well. The bottled water from Italy was costly at 8 CH! I ordered one bottle of water but was charged for 2 bottles. Hope this was a genuine error rather than exploitation.
