Simply gorgeous. Perhaps the best coffee roaster in Tainan, if not Taiwan. To give it the context it deserves. The space it occupies used to be a detention room for political prisoners under the Japanese occupation and subsequent KMT regime of terror. Now however it has been transformed into a slick and modern space. If you want to sit outside with the banyan tree and beautiful garden, you still need to order at the counter.

IG: FOODIE_FOXX I was thinking why a Cafe inside tainan art museum, and looking at the prices, I was shocked, then I saw the place it was almost full. A power packed place for Porsche people to come and rest for a while when they get tored roaming around the museum. Very minimal menu, high pricy, but authenticity of each and every item they sell on the menu. Staff were very polite and respectful. Neatly dressed and well behaved. It's has a feeling of a library, silent and calm 😌. We ordered some coffee and iced oolong tea, we were finding a place to work on our laptops, this place was awesome to work and loved the ambience. Eventhough the taste were not that great, but still great place to sit and chat with ur loved ones. Bon appetite fellows Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊

Pros: 1.A cafe in an arts museum that has modern decoration and cozy atmosphere, featuring awarded barista making coffees. 2.Yet by Irish coffee and American coffee we ordered, they turned out to be "just fine". 3.Pancake that contained Japanese Mochi is somewhat more special than coffee. Cons: 1.Minimum consumption of a drink is required per person. 2.Max seating time = 2 hours. 3.Service needs to be improved, should treat every guests equally. i.e. We were told to sit as we wish, but later were asked to move in order to make rooms for other guests, even other spaces available. i.e. we were told to grab menus and make orders at the counter. but other guests were handed menus. 4.crazy kids could ruin your time. kids shouting were not stopped but rather continued.

Service staff were chatting nonstop loudly, which was really unprofessional. Ordered 2 flat white and it took them 20mins to serve. Cafe was relatively empty when we arrive. Coffee was served ridiculous hot in a glass, which makes it impossible to drink from. Who serves a hot beverage from a glass anyway?

The coffee here is very good. They have many coffee options to choose from but the food menu is limited. They have a lot of afternoon sweet dessert items but no sandwiches or salads or anything salty. I don’t know if they are purposely doing that so that not too many people will stay but unfortunately this place does not get a higher rating because their menu is too limited. I don’t think you need to have so many different waffle options and no other options for people who don’t want something sweet. Tainan already has so many desserts and cafes so why is the menu always the same?
