By far the best and most welcoming bar I've been to during my trip in Taipei. It is cozy, friendly and a peaceful atmosphere with amazing drinks and a creative artsy menu. The owner was working during my visit and is very kind and personal, he is well traveled and fluent in many languages. I stopped by this bar a couple of days ago and had such a great experience. Our server, Eric (or Erik), was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He explained the cocktails in English and gave great recommendations — definitely one of the highlights of the night. The cocktails are inspired by famous destinations in Taiwan, and the menu comes with a cute illustrated map that makes choosing a drink even more fun. The overall vibe is calm and relaxed, but it’s still totally fine to come with a group and chat or laugh without feeling out of place. I arrived late, so the kitchen was already closed and I didn’t get to try the food, but they offered some simple snacks, and you can even bring in your own food as long as it doesn’t have a strong smell. Eric was exceptionally kind — absolutely worth mentioning again! Highly recommend stopping by.

I wanted to gate keep, but I will be nice and share… Bar THY is a HIDDEN GEM. Located on a quiet, chill street near the busyness of Ximen. This spot offers selective cocktails that are truly one of a kind. Their espresso martini is one of the best in Taiwan. And their other drinks are creatively and flavorfully designed. The staff is fun, knowledgable, and easy to get along with. Small and intimate space with curated vintage decor is definitely a highlight. Love the lowkey-ness of it all. Will be back!

We had a really fun evening! Harry made us delicious signature drinks inspired by places in Taipei, illustrated by a beautiful map that was also the menu. He also made us drinks off menu based off our preferences which were some of the best cocktails we’ve had. He has a great library of international and local liquor and is clearly very passionate about his job. The music was banging, the barman was friendly, the drinks were boss. What more can you ask for?
