We are very disappointed with our recent experience at Courtyard Cafe. We are regular customers and usually come here to relax, enjoy shisha, and spend time comfortably, but this visit was very frustrating and unacceptable. The staff kept approaching our table every few minutes repeatedly asking for our order, even though we were already settled and trying to enjoy our time. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt pressured and uncomfortable throughout the visit. As regular customers, we expected better treatment and more professionalism from the staff. What made the experience even worse was the food issue. We ordered the Moroccan Beef Tajine with prune, and unfortunately after eating it, we experienced food poisoning symptoms. We informed the supervisor politely about our concern and expected at least some care, apology, or proper action regarding the situation. However, her response was simply “ok no problem,” which showed a complete lack of concern for customer health and satisfacti

As a regular customer of Yard Cafe, I am very disappointed with the service we continuously experience every time we visit. We come almost every day to relax, enjoy shisha, and order food, yet instead of feeling comfortable, we feel disturbed throughout our stay. What irritates us the most is that every 15 to 20 minutes, different staff members keep coming to our table repeatedly asking for our order again and again, even after we already ordered. It makes us feel rushed and uncomfortable, especially when we are trying to enjoy our time peacefully. We understand staff are doing their job, but constant interruptions are too much and affect the whole experience badly. As loyal and regular customers, we expected better customer service and proper coordination between staff members. Customers should feel welcomed and relaxed, not pressured or repeatedly disturbed while dining. Yard Cafe turned into a perfect late-evening stop in Abu Dhabi. By the time we arrived it was already dark and a lot of places were closing, so we just walked along the promenade and ended up here. They call themselves Moroccan cuisine, but the menu is more “a bit of everything” — which actually worked great for us. The biggest surprise: portion sizes. I honestly got lucky that the waitress didn’t catch my second dish order, because their cordon bleu is not “just a cutlet with cheese and ham.” It’s a huge plate with baked vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a massive sliced chicken fillet — way bigger than I expected. Nice atmosphere (especially in the evening), good for sitting down, watching sports, and eating properly after a long day. If you’re hungry, this place won’t disappoint.

1 star because I think greedy owners don't need to be supported. Cane during a match and they said 50aed minimum chrge. Which I understand because some people come, order water and sit for entire match. But when they said 50AED not including shisha I was shocked. So even when you order your shisha you still need to add 50 dirhams on top of it. Never seen this in my life in UAE. I immediately left.
