Decided to come here for breakfast today to meet a friend. We decided against a chain restaurant to support a local business and it was a good location for us both to meet. Breakfast was ok, no bells and whistles, but enjoyable overall. The bill came over just over £50, which for two breakfasts and two hot drinks each, I thought was extortionate. At first I thought our bill had been confused with another table. ( I’ve been to an independent pub recently for Sunday lunch. I’ve visited ASK many times over the years and it is consistently excellent. The food is beautifully cooked and brilliant quality, the service the ladies provide is always friendly/helpful/attentive, and the place is consistently busy. I usually opt for a fry up (the Great British) which some might say is expensive at nearly £15, but in comparison to the competition in and around Maidstone, it is only £2/3 more and the quality speaks for itself.
