Shocking value - overpriced I visited The Georgian in Balham recently and left deeply disappointed by the value for money. The Vegan Mezze was listed as a starter and came to nearly £30 — for one person. When I queried the portion size, staff confirmed it was not for sharing. I have dined at Michelin-starred restaurants in London and never once paid £30 for a single-person starter of this size and quality. The portion was genuinely small — a few salad leaves, some mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, and a piece of bread — nothing that justifies that price point, even by Central London standards. I

Discovered this place on Google Maps while I was trying to find somewhere to have lunch and kill some time… Absolutely coming back again with friends! The food is delicious and I was so full. Came here for lunch and had Khachapuri which was freshly made and delicious! The restaurant was nicely decorated and homely. Service was amazing, Gocha (hope I spelt that correctly) was really attentive and friendly as soon as I came in. He made sure I had everything I needed and I was well looked after. The specials looked really delicious too, I would try here for dinner next time.

Had a fantastic meal at The Georgian in Clapham. The food was delicious, authentic, and full of flavour, with a great selection of traditional Georgian dishes. Everything tasted freshly made, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. If you’re looking to try genuine Georgian cuisine in London, I’d definitely recommend this place. I’ll certainly be coming back!
