This review is a bit of a quandary for me. Having worked on the railway for many years, Barnstaple was one of my regular destinations. Arriving at Barnstaple on an early morning train, the crew would all rush into the Station Master's Cafe for a full English before heading back on our return trip. It was one of the best perks we had. Now retired, I still pop in for a full English when on a shopping trip to Barnstaple. This little cafe is within Barnstaple station. They have a variety of hot beverages, iced coffees & smoothies to either take-away or in the cafe. They have a great selection of home-made cakes, scones, biscuits & flapjacks. Indoor seating is available plus outdoor seating in a pretty courtyard, just off the station platform. Service was friendly & helpful.

Small cafe serving basics to eat in or takeaway. Bacon butty was good despite it not being freshly made (in chilled cabinet needed reheating). Drinks were hot. Bit pricey but no more than tne big station cafés

Delightful little Cafe with a lovely garden patio and pond. Birds with nicknames frequent the space. Dogs are welcome(yay). I only had toast, so cannot really comment on the food, but they make a good cup of tea and the staff go the extra mile. I definitely recommend a visit.
