This is by far the best chippy I've been to. Fried Fish? excellent, Chips? Hot and tasty, value for money? yes. They do an amazing fish scone, crispy and nice. Friendly staff, obviously well versed in the fish n chips game and very reasonable prices.

Ah yes, the absolute luxury of paying premium prices for a “mini” fish and chips that consists of one fish finger and a handful of chips counting comfortably under 20. Truly groundbreaking stuff. This chippy used to be the best in town — every Friday without fail for years. Then it was taken over, and somehow the quality went down at the exact same speed the prices went up. Impressive really. The fish and chips now arrive marinated in what seems to be several litres of oil. Everything tastes of grease. The chips glisten under the lights like they’ve just completed an Olympic swim. I went in and it wasn’t even busy no phone calls coming throught anything. Think they had just opened not sure. Asked for chips and gravy. And they read it back to me i said yeah thats correct. So then they made the chips. And forgot my gravy. They say their looking for good customer service but where was mine?

Ordered a lunchtime special for £6, food cooked to order which is great and staff very polite and chatty BUT the portion size is ridiculously small, amount of chips is acceptable within a deal BUT the fish can be described as a single fish offcut, measuring between 3” and 4” by 1”; smaller than a regular sausage. Not enough in my opinion to warrant the pricing, had expected a small fish or half a fillet, but not something that small. The staff are lovely, the taste of the food is good; just feel disappointed with the portion.
