Spoilt for choice with the number of branches of The Cod's Scallops in Nottingham, I opted for one I knew was cooking in beef dripping. Parking was easy, with bays available along the street in front of several shops. On entering the shop, it was clear that great care had been taken with both the design and the upkeep. There is plenty of seating for dining in, along with what appeared to be a mini fishmonger’s display of fresh fish. The staff were welcoming, polite, and smartly presented. Went in on Saturday just gone . Firstly great staff very friendly we ordered the chicken ham and leek pie excellent the tandoori chicken kebab which was good the large cod which was ok for a large cod a bit small excellent chips and battered black pudding one of the best things I have eaten pity other chippies doesn't do it. The only thing missing was our 2 tubs of mushy peas when we got the order home So next time we come back down to Nottingham we have been promised that on our next order the cost of the peas will be taken off

The photo attached was the line caught haddock. £12.40 I think. And when a picture paints a thousand words need I say more apart from waste your money elsewhere.
