This was our first time at 'The Herd' and we had read some really good positive reviews online. Located in the heart of Bath Spa town centre the atmosphere we found entering into the restaurant itself you have to walk down quite a few uneven stairs and it looked like a lot needed doing on the walls itself as it was very white everywhere.. maybe something designed on the walls would make it look a bit more appealing upon finding our table? The important bit: the steaks are amazing. Booked a family meal here for my son's birthday. Ordered the sharing platter (on a recommendation) which is enough for two. Steak was cooked to perfection and was mouth watering good. The red wine jus really complements it will. Starters were good as were the desserts. Service was good. This is almost a five star place - but it is pretty expensive and they add the service charge on automatically which I really don't like. Other than that... Highly recommended.
