I’ve had so many wonderful lunches and dinners at The Tim Bobbin that I can’t recommend it highly enough. Considering how exceptional the food is, it almost feels wrong to describe it as just a pub! The food is consistently fantastic, but what truly makes this place special is the team, led by Nigel and Caroline. Very nice relaxed place - pretty typical for a gastro pub - sanded down pine pub tables included. Very tidy, comfortable, modern and fresh looking venue. Kind of half local boozers, folk downing pints in the beer garden with some of the starters as nibbles, and half restaurant with nice dining inside. I liked the relaxed buzz. We had the sea bass and the lamb; a couple of the more expensive dishes for around £25 all in, but you could do it considerably cheaper. Fantastic pub with excellent service and friendly staff. We had a warm welcome. It has a lovely outside seating area, which was nice to sit out in the sun. The food was lush and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Hosted a Christmas lunch for friends here on Sunday. The manager kindly brought our reservation forward so we could have the table for longer. The food here is always good, well portioned and the meats seasoned nicely and cooked with plenty of flavour sealed in. All the starters were great especially the calamari and ham hock terrine. The pub was nicely decorated, felt really Christmassy. Only minus is that if you’re in the front part of the pub, and you have a large group (like we did) it can get quite loud and you end up having to almost shout to be heard.
