Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food: Modern British A really special restaurant. A very warm, welcoming atmosphere with prompt first class service at this well established Notting Hill institution. The food was beautifully prepared and served and everything was delicious. The hand cut chips and egg custard tart were outstanding. It’s a treat to dine here and somewhere you’ll be keen to return to. This is an exquisite place and a must for us on our London visit. Sally Clarke, the owner chef, visits each table in the most unassuming way possible like bringing bread to the table or snacks; what a privilege that is. Service is most welcoming and accommodating. Wine selection is superb, we had a Burgundy (see pic), and the food is the reason of reasons to must go. Jersey Royals were in season and prepared simply and were amazing. Our table of six tried all kinds of meats and each memorable and fresh. Highly recommend.

Service friendly and menu has a good selection for all diets with variations possible for diets and tastes. This is a treat place for special occasions. Treat yourself if in the area. there is Disabled access.

I enjoy everything about this place. Always a good experience. Food is simple and seasonal. I wish it was more “spot on” in terms of execution. As someone who enjoys cooking I got rather precise expectations when I go out and spend quite a bit for the food. I really do like the atmosphere. It feels like being in one’s dining room without having to cook and serve the food yourself!
