Worth the wait! Flavourful food cooked with love located inside Queensway Market. Normah's is where you go to for authentic and affordable Malaysian food. We had Assam Pedas Seabass, Vegan Assam Pedas, King Prawn Mee Goreng, with Rotis and Milk Teas on the side. And everything is flavourful! All of us love the vegan Assam Pedas - okras, aubergine and the tomato is such a burst of freshness in the mouth. We were super glad to find out this place lived up to hype, especially in a city where good Malaysian food is far and few! The roti was all flakes no bread, piping hot and the best dish of all. We particularly enjoyed the beef rendang (effortlessly pulled meat) and fried chicken (crispy outside, juicy inside). Do expect the service to be slower as it’s a one man band—but where Asian food is often fast and furious, it was a nice to appreciate a slower change of pace. (It definitely didn’t hold back on spice either and surprised us too!) We’d love to come back even just for the roti!
