Has a lovely lunch here either a friend. We chose from the set menu which was 2 courses for £20. All food was delicious and very generous portion sizes. The Brasserie is a lovely area. Beautifully decorated and bright and all staff were friendly and attentive. After finishing we sat in the tea salon area which again is beautifully decorated. All in all, this hotel is gorgeous and I would definitely go back to enjoy it again! 🤩

The Pen & Cob is situated right along the Embankment, in Bedford Bedfordshire. The menu is diverse and creative. The team is professional, slick, and incredibly welcoming. They met my"sweet spot" of being attentive without hovering, ensuring the evening flows perfectly. The cocktail list is inventive, and they have a nice selection of local ales and fine wines. The Pen & Cob never misses the mark. Highly recommended!

Now this experience was a mixed bag, we a family of 7 went for lunch which we pre booked and at the time of booking we were asked to pre-order food which I assume was due to the size of group which was not a problem and expected at this time of year to make things run smoothly. We arrived and were quickly seated, the restaurant had a couple of Christmas Tree’s and the tables had crackers and nicely decorated but the whole room felt like it could do with more decorations around as it did feel a bit sparse and not much different looking to what it does the rest of the year.
