Came here last night for a works Chistmas meal. We were so impressed with the menu for this and the food was SO good! All 3 courses . The young lady with the glasses couldn't of done more very polite and accommodating to us all . This pub is by far the best around for food at this price and the portion sizing is very good . Thank you for a great night .

Great Sunday roast, the turkey was perfect and got all the trimmings, best meal out for ages. Great price, no queuing, better than the Toby! Plenty of parking, and seating options. All staff were lovely and helpful.

Came for breakfast with my baby and extended family. It can be stressful eating out with a baby, but the relaxed atmosphere and patient staff made us feel relaxed. We had very nice service from Harry, who was friendly and chatted with my mother. The vegetarian breakfast was nice, which isn't always a guarantee when eating out. I believe the other member of staff on shift was called Mihaela. We'll come again next time my parents are visiting now we know that the food is good and it's easy to handle the baby here.

The Anchor has never let's us down. Christmas day was brilliant. The staff were attentive even though they were really busy, The food was as we had hoped, and was brought out in good time. I would like to thank the guys behind the scenes too, they rarely get a mention. Well done. I would also like to thank Anna and her colleagues on the floor, the bar staff and the management team for organising, what would have been a massive undertaking to keep all those that attended, well fed and full of festive cheer.
