The experience was very good. Excellent service and waiters that know what they are doing. You can’t help but feel you are in New York in the 1980s. The music was real good 👌 The toilets were very clean. Drinks were good too but not so much the food. We only had deserts as we had already had food just before. Sticky toffee pudding was clearly frozen stuff that was not of good quality clearly. Stiff and dry Overall good experience and service but food could be better

We visited Bert’s Jazz Bar in the Merchant Hotel at Christmas for dinner, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely amazing — genuinely gorgeous and full of flavour. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and felt really special. The service was fabulous from start to finish. Our waitress (I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name) was warm, attentive and absolutely lovely, which really made the evening for us.
