Came in for a meal, food was lovely. I'd recommend the steak and ale pie with mash. You get a good portion of gravy with the steak and ale pie. Portion sizes are very good. Drink prices really reasonable. A very old pub with a nice cosy atmosphere. Guy at the bar nice and all staff very pleasant.

A great pub with a fantastic selection of alcohol, also quite a brilliant historically looking boozer. The fish and chips were OK but the fish was clearly not made fresh, tasty all the same. The room was quiet and tidy but the bathroom toilet area needed a little bit more TLC, I found a few hairs around the shower cubicle and on the floor around the bath. All in all I’d stay again for work, and it was great value for money.

A proper old fashioned pub the like of which have vanished in large numbers. We arrived for a lunchtime meal and drink. The portions of food were very generous and tasty - not too sure about him healthy they might be, but they did look good. Friendly service. We are looking to return for our Christmas meal.
