Based in Blackburn cathedral a lovely light airy cafe selling coffee and cakes plus hot food such as jacket potatoes, sandwiches and cooked breakfasts. We both had the special; creamy garlic mushrooms on sourdough £8.95 and it was delicious and very filling with plenty of mushrooms. They sell alcohol; beer, wine etc. As well as hot drinks. We called on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed with people sharing tables. I noticed other dishes being brought out and they certainly don't skimp on portion size. Lovely cafe. Nicely fitted out, spotlessly clean, excellent food, helpful staff and pocket friendly. What's not like? A bacon roll full of proper bacon in a lightly toasted bun....perfect with tea or coffee.

Came here for lunch with my mum after visiting the ww2 yarn exhibition. My mum had pre-booked a table but for one reason or another no booking had been noted. A lovely lady name V sorted us out with a table straight away and was very gracious about the miss communication too. The cafe was very busy and we really appreciated V's efforts to find us a table. Food was ok for a quick spot of lunch and all staff were working very hard.

Wonderful! Arrived in Blackburn specifically to see the cathedral and what a hidden gem the cafe is. Thank you so much to all the staff who answers my many questions about opening times etc. For information, it is open 08:30 until 15:30. Drinks and cakes only after 2pm and take away drinks and cakes after 3pm. Staff will provide a warm welcome at the door (level 0) in the cathedral. Entrance is via steps or a lift. Clean and accessible toilets within the cafe. In fact, whilst we were there, the staff went over and above to accommodate people with accessible needs. We had 2 coffees,
