It's no surprise that this place is always crowded; their pastries are truly exceptional. The sausage roll is the best I've ever had, and the pork pie is also fantastic. The pastries are consistently flaky and crispy, with incredibly flavorful fillings. Despite the crowds, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I highly recommend stopping by this bakery—just be prepared for a bit of a wait!

The line outside says it all really. Only a place of such grand quality could earn itself such massive queues outside the door. I go here regularly for the roast chicken, which is excellent and good value. Also a big fan of the scotch pies (labelled as meat pies here), sausage rolls and also the pork pies which are excellent. The chips are good here too, as are the roast potatoes. The gravy is also excellent. The shop also offers tons of other great stuff like cooked meats, cold or hot pies and pasties, made to order salads and sandwiches, hot roasted meats for hot sandwiches. Everything I'

Amazing!!! Fresh on site cooked meats, pies, chicken salad n sarnies. Don’t pay £40 for a meal for 2 in a pub. Come here! £10 for 2 people, better quality, jump in the queue, it goes down quick! Then walk up the road near the church, 2 mins, loads of benches in a sun trap. Enjoy the birds. The seagulls n pigeons will join you. N nick your leftovers before u decided haha. One seagull landed on my head momentarily and then patiently stood on our table waiting for a gift. Warning. Not all birds have manners! But I loved it. We came back 3 times. Great staff. Top notch!

I've only recently been using here. The food is lovely and always fresh. I will have to mention the MINCE PIES though. They are the best I've had and I have purchased them from GR**GS however this year again I was left disappointed and walking past Abingdon BBQ I spotted them on the shelf and couldn't help myself. These are perfect and little pies of perfection. The staff are friendly and I can see why there's always a queue. It's fast becoming a favourite place to grab something to eat when in town
