My daughter is at university in Newcastle and to celebrate both our birthdays we decided to meet up at Beamish and enjoy an overnight stay. We booked a one-night stay for me, my son and his partner, and my daughter and her partner. Using the winter offer (2-course dinner, bed, and breakfast) made it an absolute bargain for the five of us. Check-in was friendly and professional. The rooms were large and immaculate—the soundproofing is so good I didn’t realise how effective it was until I opened a window! Room was large and reasonably equipped,but it was designed for someone with physical needs, so not ideal. Tv was small and a long way from the bed,so difficult too see. Service was very good, no dedicated reception staff but plenty of helpful staff behind the barto check you in and explain your options. Large car park and convenient location to explore the north East Coast. Food in the Restaurant was very good. Very dog friendly.

A fantastic, dog-friendly pub in a great waterfront location. The food is excellent quality, reasonably priced, and there’s a great choice on both the human and dog menus, so our four-legged friend was just as well looked after as we were. There’s plenty of parking, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the views across the Port of Blyth make it an even nicer place to relax with a meal or a drink. If you’re looking for good food, great service, and somewhere that genuinely welcomes dogs, The Commissioners Quay Inn is well worth a visit.

Still quite new. Large bar and dining area, but still cosy and welcoming. Sensibly priced food and drink. Cheerful staff. Good sized bedroom. Lots of car parking. What's not to like? I just had an amazing stay that I couldn't wait to share! The room was super spacious and comfy, and everything from check-in to check-out was a breeze, thanks to the friendly team. The food and service were top-notch, making my single night here truly memorable. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and can't wait to come back!
