I ordered cod and chips here. The guy that was running the show seemed friendly and I told you I would leave an honest review. So here it is. I am disappointed in the fish as it seemed very soggy batter that split in 4 bits with my paper full of grease and the chips were average even though you said it was amazing. Being from Essex you have no idea what amazing fish and chips are. They had no proper forks to eat with except the ridiculous wooden things that cant pick up much. Omg ! This was disgusting , someone needs to learn how to cook . Everything was just bland . If you want crispy batter , don’t go there . Chips were mush , undercooked and a soggy mess that was stuck to the paper . The curry sauce was congealed, like jelly . Even the dog refused to eat any of it . Won’t be back !!!!

We ordered online this evening for collection, it was great service yes it took a little longer than estimated but it was worth the wait. We haven't been there for a few years I remember having the battered mushrooms when I was a kid they are still lovely. The fish was tasty and the battered chips were out of this world.
