When I returned later that night (around 1am, as I had an early flight the next day), I was told the phone was not there. The following day, a friend contacted the pub and was informed that one of the waiters had taken the phone home. I have since heard from regular customers that items frequently “disappear” and are later found behind the bar, even after staff initially deny having them.
