I visited Satay Bar in Brixton last night (Friday) and unfortunately the entire experience was very disappointing. The evening started poorly with the cocktails. There was only one person behind the bar making them, and he clearly had little understanding of proper measurements. The drinks felt inconsistent and poorly balanced, nothing like the well-made cocktails the bar used to be known for when they had real mixologists. The food was even more underwhelming. Attended 2pm, missed the breakfast in Brixton as that what I initially went there for. Customer service was non existent, waited for someone to approach but they didn’t. When I asked the girl behind the bar her response was so condescending. The food was bad, it has really gone down food wise. I got Singapore noodles with chicken, prawns and beef. First and last time I go here. My friend joked the food was Iceland ready meals heated up in the microwave, but he might be onto something. I'm pretty sure all they used to season my Singapore noodles was curry powder, they were flavourless and clumpy. I had to use a knife to cut through them
