Me and my daughter have just got back from the oak, the food was excellent. Paul the chef recommended the surf and turf it was cooked to perfection. My daughter had the kids burger which could’ve easily been passed off as an adults meal she said it was 10/10. This is a lot more than the usual pub food I was expecting and il be returning soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Don’t tell my Mom but this is one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. Everything cooked to perfection, everything tasty, fresh and well seasoned, fluffy Yorkshire, sweet carrots, crunchy roast parsnips and lean and tasty meat. I’ll be back again soon.

Having lived in Walmley for most of my life and been a regular at The Oak for many years, I was initially disappointed when it transitioned into a gastro pub and chose to stop visiting. However, with the recent change in management and a refreshed kitchen, we decided to give it another try—and I’m very glad we did. Well worth a visit. Friendly and welcoming staff, with lots of recent improvements to the pub including adding live music and events. New food menu is excellent with lots of choice, great quality and reasonably priced. Drinks are always very good with clean glasses and cold pints!
