Perfect spot to relax for Italian food after checking out the Roman ruins across Chester. Lunch menu was a fantastic deal, I had the caprese to start which was crisp and flavorful, an absolute pleasure. Of course I had to get the titular carbonara pasta as a main, and it was stunningly authentic. Very much on par with carbonara I've had in Rome and Milan, maybe a bit less salty but that was very welcome. My father got the Amatriciana which was full of vibrant tomato flavor. Wow !! What a beautiful family run restaurant, everything was amazing. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming and had a laugh with us too, quick service and the food was just perfect, definitely worth every penny and we will be returning :) We even got the Ferrero Rocher Mousse and we never get desserts usually .. 😍😍

I can’t thank the team at carbonara Chester enough.Everything from making the reservation ,to the food and service was flawless. Being as we were a large table of 15 sitting upstairs I was concerned that the service would be different to what were used to but the service was fast as usual each course was brought promptly but with enough time in between. A Restaurant like no other, stepping into the building I was greeted with friendly staff and an immersive Italian environment. Very fitting in the heart of Chester and all their Roman history. And we can't forget the food, it was genuinely immaculate, I've never tasted any other food this captivating. It's a real gem and a must visit if you have some cash to splash on premium dishes.
