Went to The Raj on the recommendation of a friend, whom I also met up with there. The dishes were different from other Indian restaurants I've eaten at, but they also had " the old favourites ". There was a three course special set menu,for the budget conscious ( myself included) at £18.95 ,,Sunday to Wednesday. You will have to ask about the set menu as there are a few options/ exclusions. We ordered Shahjani chicken, lamb shaatkhura, special fried rice and a peshawari naan bread, + the poppadoms and garlic mushrooms as starters,,,all to share. Delicious fare. Returning ASAP. 😋😋😋

Honestly this is the worst Indian food I have ever had in the UK.we were in a group and though they have given us a table till 90 minutes ,still they were behaving differently with us compared to the other whites eating on nearby tables.The food we ordered is of zero taste and they have mentioned that they are serving Indian food..the chicken biryani comes with lots of cabbage as it is cabbage biryani than a chicken and the gravy given( usually it's curd raita provided elsewhere) was such bland and tasteless.they knew we are Indians still they didn't check with our taste and spice level and se

Ordered 2 currys, pilau rice and a keema naan. The food was incredible and such a massive portion im still here looking at it wondering if i should eat more even though my stomach hurts. 10/10 would definetely order again

Atmosphere was good but the person serving us was quite rude and the food was no where authentic Indian food no complex flavours they just add salt in tons of green chillies in every dish . The starters were as disappointing as mains . The batter of pakoras had no flavouring at all.
