Great independent pub with a fantastic beer selection across craft, cask, classics and everything in between. Always love a pub that displays what is coming up on tap as it gives me another reason to come back and shows their pride in their beer selection. Only temptation to give a bad review is because I've never had more fun reading the responses.

Excellent Battersea pub just off Northcote Road about 15 minutes walk from Clapham Junction Railway Station. Three cask beers - and one cider - on handpump when I visited including an old ale. Lots of outdoor seating at the front and in the covered beer garden to the rear. Very friendly staff and a great feel about the place helped by lots of customers with dogs!

Went here on the strength of it being a real ale pub, with awards to support that claim. Asked a simple question about whether they had a citra or mosaic hop pale ale. Barman didn’t know and asked another who also didn’t know. I made a choice. I was disappointed at the lack of knowledge but more disappointed at the barman and another patron taking the piss out of my question (pulling faces) and the frosty service we received after that. Very unwelcoming. Maybe that’s just cliquey Clapham?

A perfect place for a good beer, quiet conversation and food company. Has a constantly changing range of ales and cider, but with some standards always available. Always has good but unobtrusive music on that creates a welcoming atmosphere. Has two open fires for the cold winter days and a large garden for the summer.
