Had a very nice evening at The Pavilion. It wasn't over the top or spectacular, but it was a consistently good meal with classic flavours that hit the spot. Starters & Appetizers We started with a few staples. The Aromatic Crispy Duck was a highlight, served traditionally with pancakes, spring onions, cucumber, and hoi sin sauce. The internal furnishings provide a restful experience with the seating well spaced out. A friend at work had banged on about this place, his claim, “it’s the best Chinese in the north east!” With Chinese food probably being my favourite cuisine, I had to give it a go. First of all, any photos you see online don’t do the venue and atmosphere justice. It’s simple, but cosier and more atmospheric than you’d expect, with a nice lay out. We have been here multiple times in the past as a couple where we were welcomed had nice food and good service we then went tonight with our baby 5 and a half month Sat in the corner where it was dark near a radiator which was to hot for our baby to be their service took longer than normal and they forgot to bring out food we had ordered starters satay chicken skewers were dry and warm not hot the duck starter was nice no complaints for that mains were smaller than usual but large rice and noodles but egg fried rice was dry hence the 3 star food review we eat out once a week and this time we f
