Booked a table for the Valentine's Day set three course menu. £40 per person. The food was lovely, the service was great and the bar staff were attentive, making sure the drinks kept coming when they were running low - a detail I had found lacking in a lot of restaurants of late. Our Rib-eyes were beautifully cooked and the starter and desserts also lovely. I have lived in Cwmbrân for 10 years, always been passing this place but never went for food. There aren't enough words to describe the amazing staff team that work here. I have always felt welcomed every time I've walked in, it means a lot as a regular that they remember my name and vice-versa. Nothing is too much for them, for example, after a long day of delivering leaflets for an election campaign they still went out of their to make a sticky toffee pudding for me when they were quite tired, but could see I was too. Bless the team at The Mount Pleasant Inn, and here's to many more years of success for them I hope.

It's probably one of the only pubs I've never visited before for a local, but I will definitely be back soon. Booked off the cuff on a Friday night as heard good things about their food .Friday is pizza night, and they were fantastic freshly made dough as we could see into the kitchen . Lots of pizza choices, or you can make your own with a selection of sides from mozzarella sticks or large loaded fries . All was freshly cooked and tasted amazing .
