We had a wonderful experience at The Metropolitan. The service was very quick and flexible, and the venue itself was beautifully decorated. For our baby shower, they kindly gave us the Barker Room, which we were able to decorate with baby themed items, making the event feel very personal and special. We had a mix of adults, elderly guests, and young children, and everyone felt comfortable and well looked after. The food was excellent, both the adult and children’s menus were wonderful and everyone loved the warm atmosphere, especially the Christmas decorations. The duck in particular was high

We were visiting my daughter today who lives in the area and the Metropolitan has been recommended to me by a friend. It didn't disappoint. Sunday roast was excellent (especially the extra Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes!) the staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. Also had a good selection of beers and ales. We were inside the lovely dining area but outside looked great in the sunshine. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

On a calm Monday evening, I enjoyed a quiet drink out. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and warm. At the weekend, it is definitely more crowded and noisy, but it’s still a wonderful spot.

Let's start off with the positives, the pub itself is in pristine condition, nice garden area and very spacious, good looking pub. However it's all downhill from there. Staff either have no knowledge, or are just rude. Arrived at 11am for a breakfast asked at the bar about ordering food. Was told they don't serve food until 12. (Even though sign outside advertised breakfast from 10am - 11:30). Ordered 2 soft drinks (one of them was flat). About half an hour later at the table I noticed a breakfast menu and was flicking through it. When another member of staff approached and basically snatched
