mel b★★★★★everything you look for in a country pub, warm, cosy oozing atmosphere. We came for dinner at 7pm on a Saturday, we pre booked as there were 6 of us and the place is quite small. Me and my sister had the days special which was lovely tender lamb with creamy mash potatoes and vegetables, and lashings of gravy. The others had the steak and cheese pie and the cheese and onion pie. All the food was delicious and plentiful, the wine too 😊 highly recommend

There was a lovely choice of lamb on the specials for Easter which I wish had tried. Friendly staff and great service. Definitely be back!

My main was the chicken bhuna which was a bit too spicy for my personal preference and I'd had 1 from somewhere else in the past 2 weeks and that was how I preferred it so I thats why the 3 star 🌟 for the food. Will say tho that the portions of the dishes were perfect so thanks. My partner opted for the Sunday roast, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection — tender and full of flavor, without being pink. I went for the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas, and I must say, the peas were absolutely delicious! (as was the homemade chips and rag pudding).The gravy had a rich, meaty flavor that really enhanced the meal, not bland like some places can be.
